Hi,
I have been running late for as long as I can remember. I've always been late to school, to work, to appointments, you name it. It becomes really stressful and I'm tired of being judged and feeling like my life is out of control. I have tried so many different things, from getting up earlier to setting alarms, etc., and nothing seems to work. It's like I just don't have a concept of time in my brain. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with me or a therapy for this?
Thanks,
Elaina
Ben's Answer:
In my experience, running late is often based on a need to be in control (while most of the time, feeling that you are not in control, or don't have enough power in your life). It can be related to repressed anger, that comes out in a sort of passive-aggressive way (by coming late to meetings and classes and so on). Regardless of the root of the problem (which could be many different things), I would definitely use Meridian Tapping/EFT to change this pattern and to discover any underlying issues that lead to this form of self-sabotage. It could quite possibly resolve very rapidly with tapping; Or could quickly uncover the core issue behind it, which could then be worked on with more tapping.
I know it may seem like I recommend this for nearly everything; but that's because it works for so many different things! There aren't many approaches that are more effective or faster than Meridian Tapping. With this type of issue, I'd suggest using it daily for at least a week or more before deciding it's not working. It's easy to give up on it when you first try it, because the results may not be immediately obvious.
Give it a try!
Best wishes. And may you be ON TIME!
