With depression often comes anxiety, and for me, it meant many a sleepless, restless, uneasy night watch. The nights seemed so long, and sometimes I admit to being frightened. One of the things that was helpful to me during these many sleepless hours, was to take out my art supplies and try and express my feelings on paper. A lot of my art work has come out of those long empty hours. I would sometimes write about how I was feeling also and what I was experiencing. I found it to be helpful somehow.
