Rape??

by trice

I was drunk and i man took advantage of me, he tried to penetrate me but he didn't take my virginity does this count as rape?

Ben's Answer:

The choice of word is not what is important. This counts as "sexual assault." Whether you call it "rape" or "molestation" or "attempted rape" is really just a matter of the particular legal definitions in your state. By any terms, this was sexual contact without your consent which makes it an unlawful sexual assault.

Please take precautions to not put yourself in such a dangerous position being drunk and vulnerable in an unprotected environment. This is far too common, and it can be extremely dangerous and traumatic, both emotionally and physically.
