where to find holistic care and routine vitB shot?

I couldn"t be more unhealthy, these days and it is definitely starting to take its toll on my body and my mind. I don't eat right. I smoke and drink. I don't get anywhere near enough sleep and am constantly under stress. I have never looked into the holistic approach but, am to the point of giving anything new a try. I am constantly run-down, fatigued, sore, and depressed. I get severe headaches just about every day, some lasting for more than a day at a time. I can't seem to gain a positive outlook on anything and my back, shoulders, and neck are a constant source of pain. My doctor has prescribed multiple antidepressants, muscle relaxers, and pain killers. Nothing has helped and I have my suspicions that some have made me feel worse. I recently saw a different doctor at an urgent care clinic during a two day stint with a severe migraine, last weekend. After a tall glass of tart cherry juice, a B-complex shot, and a short conversation; I felt better than I have in a few years. I am very interested in looking into a more natural cure for my symptoms but, don't know where to get the guidance. I am looking for the holistic approach to relief for constant body aches and pains, severe headaches and migraines, and always feeling fatigued and tired. Also, I can't seem to shake the feeling of unhappieness and absolute negativity. If you have any suggestions as to what might be of help to me, I would very much appreciate it. I am also very interested to know if there is a way that I can get routine B-complex shots, as the one I got seemed to really turn my world around for a few days. I had no idea that something as simple as a vitamin could make such a huge impact but, if I could feel like that every day, I would be a far more productive and better person. Thank you so much.

Ben's Answer:

You illustrate exactly the thing that millions of people are experiencing from living an unhealthy lifestyle and then going to a typical doctor who gives you some chemicals to dull your pain, but don't address ANY of the underlying issues that have caused the problems. Thank God for that Vitamin B shot!

Vitamin and mineral deficiencies are one of the major causes of mood disorders and health problems. There are many doctors who can give vitamin B shots. But I'd suggest a more comprehensive overhaul of yourself. Additionally, I'd suggest 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3 daily, as well as magnesium (best gotten from sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and green leafy vegies). Alcholics are always given vitamin B when they are in a hospital detox program (one of the few things mainstream medicine has gotten right).

Consider following the suggestions on my website (same ones listed on the Bipolar Treatment page), and you will surely start to feel better rapidly.

If you are looking for a local professional, I'd suggest seeing a Naturopath (ND), or an Ayurvedic doctor, or acupuncturist who is also a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. You might also consider a good nutritionist.
