"Release Technique"

by Eric
(Milford, PA)

Hello,
Your site is a Godsend. I wish I were able to see you locally and use my insurance!
Do you have any experience with the Release Technique? If so, is it something that you think would pair well with EFT?
Thank you.

Ben's Answer:

From what I know of the Release Technique - it is essentially about non-resistance (mindfulness), accepting the emotions and negative thoughts that you are having, and being willing to let them go. These are all very compatible with EFT.

I feel EFT has some advantages over the Release Technique, or the Sedona Method, because it is such an automatic sort of process, that eases you directly into the pain, while energetically releasing the pain through tapping the energy points. This way the mind isn't as likely to interfere (resist) the process.

So, to answer your question -- Yes - definitely, EFT would compliment the Release Technique (and just about any other valid self-help methods).

And I'm so glad you've found my site helpful!

Best Wishes,
Ben Schwarcz, MFT
