Since last 14 years i am on antidepressant tablet 60 mg a day in last 14 years it has relapsed 5 times , now also i am on medication. Is it advisable to do meditation and breathing like ujjai and kapalbhati
please guide me.

I want to get rid of these tablets.

thanks

Ben's Answer:

The unfortunate truth is that antidepressants - especially with long-term use - often cause a more chronic depressive condition than you would have if you never had taken any antidepressants. You have to be very cautious going off of them, to avoid withdrawal, and do everything possible to support your brain's health and recovery.

Doing ujjai and kapalbhati are both excellent pranayama techniques to practice. I suggest Kriya Yoga (of the Nath tradition) as another excellent daily meditation practice that super-oxygenates your system and can have a profound healing effect on both mind and body.
