Like your son I too have had a diaper fetish since I was about 5 years old.
I can't think of what may have caused it only that when I was growing up in the mid 60's it was a matter of pride for a mother to have their kids out of diapers before age 2. It may ebven progress to the point he may begin wetting or messing in diapers. As long as this is something he does in private I would again say not to worry. If he enjoys you treating him like a baby in the meantime you may as well enjoy your baby for a few more years while you still can.
